Jackie has been Informatics Project Director at the Rosenthal Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine since 1995 combining expertise in alternative medicine information and electronic networking. With Director, Fredi Kronenberg, she created the first complementary and alternative medicine information resource in an academic medical setting, espousing academic values of clear, categorized, and impartial information.

Jackie has published widely on alternative medicine research information, traditional systems of medicine, women's health research, electronic databases, and the Internet, including regular WebWatch columns for health and clinical research journals. She runs a popular discussion list for attendees of the Botanical Medicine in Modern Clinical Practice courses.
